Today you are twenty five years old. It has been a joy watching you become the man that you are.
You have lived consistently in agreement with God.
You have received the mind of Christ that has made you the head and not the tail.
You have gone after God with zeal and passion, you hsvr a heart after God. The wisdom of heaven has touched you and caused you to see things beyond your years.
You have received the grace of the Lord and have enjoyed favor from God and man.
I bless your twenty fifth year with abundance, enlargement and joy.

My Micheal Jackson Moment
Probably many of us remember the day that Micheal Jackson died even if you don’t remember the date. It was today, June 25 eight years ago that we learned about the passing of one of the iconic figures in the world of music and entertainment.
I was sadden to hear the news even though I wasn’t a fan, I was more of a fan of the Jackson Fives.
When Micheal died my first book, Do You Wanna Be Made Whole? was in the editing process. My editor was a fan of Micheal and she went into a deep mourning and stopped working on my book. For a month I couldn’t get her to work on my book because she was grieving Micheal’s death.
Looking back I should have fired her and got someone else but I was a novice and a first time author who was publishing his first book.
Whenever I think about Micheal’s death I think about that editor and her period of mourning.
Do you have any unique editor stories?
A few years ago I was in a marketing course, the teacher was very prophetic, and the Lord told me that He was giving me a message that would awaken creativity in His people. He gave me the name of the message creative awakening.
The Lord called me to rest this month and one of the things that He has me doing is revisiting the foundations that has been laid in my life. The two primary foundations that I’m building life, ministry and business is the scribal anointing and creative awakenings.
For the summer I’ll be sharing with you what I am learning and unlearning from these foundations as I go on to build a new life.
A creative awakening consists of three things:
- You get a new vision. Creativity fills voids and solve problems. When you see in a new way that’s where you start to create. Your vision sees abundance in lack and success in problems.
- You start to connect the dots. Your imagination aligns with your ability. You start doing what you are seeing. You are acting on your thoughts. Ideas are becoming reality.
- Your mind is being changed by what you’re creating. It doens’t make sense to change the world and you stay the same. A creative awakening awakens your mind and causes what has been dormant to come alive.
Where are you in your creative awakening?
I’m recommending to you a resource that will cause you to awaken.
Every Clevelander is celebrating the return of the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2017 NBA world championship. My connection to Cleveland is personal. I was born there in 1967, the year Cleveland elected her first African-American mayor Carl B. Stokes. I lived in Cleveland for twenty-four years. So when I wrote my book ten years after leaving Cleveland the only place that I could set this story was in Cleveland.
My first story Do You Wanna Be Made Whole really parallels the themes that have resonated in Cleveland since the return of Lebron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Those themes are redemption, recovery, and dreams coming true.
The main character Pastor James Maxwell is a spiritual father to Theo Dexter, Micheal Cain and Adam Jones. Each of the three men reaches out to Pastor James in a dark season of their lives. James the mentor helps them to rediscover purpose in living.
As Cleveland Ohio rises through the dark of a heartbroken past so does Theo, Micheal, and Adam.
As Cleveland stands as a city of champions each man in this story stands as a champion.
Pastor James is a champion who discovered a new way of life empowering men after suffering great failures in his life.
Theo is a champion as he finds the power of forgiveness and applies it in his life and marriage.
Micheal is a champion who finds love again after his heart was broken by a devastating tragedy.
Adam is a champion who rediscovers the power of living by values that he forsook on his climb to prominence.
Each man, Theo, Micheal and Adam were born in Cleveland Ohio and in Cleveland Ohio they discovered the power of redemption.
I hope that you will enjoy this story, my first and gain a new appreciation for Cleveland Ohio, the city of champions.
