The Watchmen Revolution foreword was written by Apostle Theresa Harvard Johnson. Read an excerpt from the foreword.
“Pioneers like Roland Noland and Bill Hybels tapped into the potential of the creative community some 20 years ago in this area – pushing the envelope within established congregational communities. No one and I mean no one was talking about the call of the artist on a corporate, global level back then… and surely very few people were aware of just how much the congregation would shift or change in the 21st century. I believe Apostle Bernard Boulton and Apostle Terrance Frederick have presented a clear view of what this next level should look like in their collaborative work, “The Watchmen Revolution.” The insight provided here is rich soil for good ground, strong roots.
“In this dispensation, Christ-centered creative communities are more than club-groups and subgroups where hobbyists gather to amuse one another. Father is placing callings upon His remnant to establish fellowships that are supernaturally impacting their communities, not just building up the artist’s personal and private arsenal. I also believe God has given these two apostles insight into helping creative revivalists understand their mission; and provide them with the scriptural tools needed to build a strong foundation. I also believe that this book, “The Watchmen Revolution,” will snatch every sleeper out of their places of slumber and complacently. It will move them from their Babylonian alignments to Kingdom citizenship.”

Ezekiel, the Creative Watchman
When both Apostle Terrance and I heard the Lord, He spoke to both of us about Ezekiel. The call of the watchman is personified in the person of Ezekiel. This prophet is the prototype for the current day watchman.
To gain understanding of the watchman, I have sat at the feet of the book Ezekiel to learn about him and to learn about the watchman.
In the book named for him, in chapter 1, Ezekiel sits in with captives in Babylon. Ezekiel is a priest but at the age of thirty he starts to have visions.
A new energy comes on Ezekiel. Though he’s a slave, he enters into a new life. It’s a life where the heavens are opened over him. An open heaven declares that an alignment with the Lord has been made. Ezekiel will not enter into the fullness of his destiny and what was sown in him in Israel will come forth fully in Babylon.
The yoke of slavery is on Ezekiel but it will not hinder him because a greater yoke has been placed on him. The yoke of the Lord is on him and he has the heart of the Lord to train the people as they live in slavery.
So, Ezekiel was chosen by the Lord in Babylon. In Ezekiel’s lifetime Babylon was the strongest most powerful empire in the earth. It ruled nations and subjugated many groups of people in the world.
But Babylon was an instrument of God to chastise Israel. And so, as Ezekiel was commissioned to be a watchman in Israel, he watched a captive people in a land far away from home.
As I carefully looked at the work of Ezekiel, I saw several things about him. Of course he is a prophet but what I discovered about Ezekiel was how he administrated his commission. What I learned was that Ezekiel was a creative watchman. As a watchman he saw, in the realm of heaven, things that were coming. He saw supernatural creatures. He saw movements of God in the earth.
But how he declared what he saw was creative; Ezekiel used different expressions to communicate what he was watching. And this is what I heard the Lord say about watchmen who are going now in the spirit of Ezekiel.
I am sending watchmen who have seen the destiny of my people. They will watch over my people and see the destinies that I have called them to. My creative watchmen will blaze a trail for my people to walk in and they will come to their appointed place. They will carve paths in ways that have never been carved before.
They will speak what I say and they will declare what I show them. My creative watchmen will see solutions where others are stuck in the problems. They will confess things and their confession will bring forth new and wonderful things.
I am opening the portals of heavens over my creative watchmen and they are receiving mysteries from my throne room. They are receiving stories, poetic verses, and images for art. They are receiving music that looses my sound in the earth that heals, delivers and sets free.
