In Genesis 2:8 it says, “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he formed.”
Where is your Garden? Where do you live, create and make the life that God has given you power to have. Are you living in Eden, which means pleasure or are you living in Egypt, which means to limit, to confine? It’s time to come out of Egypt and return to Eden.
God established a garden in Eden for Adam to live. In the garden Adam prospered in this ideal environment. Adam, created in the image of God, created a home in the garden. He lived creatively in the grace of God. Every day in the garden was a new beginning and an open door for Adam as he discovered the wonders of the Garden created for him.
God has created a garden for you too. It is your ideal environment. In this place, whether it is your house, your business, your job, or your family your garden is your life and God wants you to live a life of sowing good seeds in your ground so that you can have a great harvest.
Genesis 2:15 says, “And the Lord God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.”
1. Adam dressed the garden. The word dressed means to tend to, to work, to serve. Adam was a creator and he created something in the garden. You create in your garden by doing the following three things:
A. What is your vision for the garden?
B. What are you building in your garden?
C. What opportunities have you been given in your garden?
2. Adam watched his garden because he was the head of the garden. Adam had dominion over his garden and Adam found pleasure in his garden because he lived in Eden. He found pleasure in his place and he created in his place increasing his pleasure.
If you are not finding pleasure in your place it maybe because you are living in Egypt. Your creative gifts are confined in a system that has placed limitations on your ability to create. Egypt is the wrong place for a creative person. You have to be free to create. Oppression kills creativity.
Egypt is a system of the world that steals your gifts, kill your dreams, and destroy your identity.
Where are you living? Are in Eden or Egypt? How can I help you to discover your ideal place and leave confinement. Let me know. Shalom.
