Your atmosphere is determined by your mood, by what is influencing you in that moment of time.
When I am creating my emotional definition is very important in that time. I am always impressed with person who can press through and do whatever they need to do no matter what is going on in their lives but I can’t create if my atmosphere has been shifted by negativity and adversity.
I was listening to Prophet Joshua Mills preach and he said, “The right atmosphere is conducive to creativity.” I loved that statement and agree with the principle of it. And so I wanted to share with you how I frame the atmosphere that allows creativity to flow through me.
My atmosphere is framed by my worship. In 1 Chronicles 16;29 it says, “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name, bring an offering, and come before Him; WORSHIP the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Creativity and the glory of God is linked. God created the human race in His image and I believe that means that every human being carries within his DNA the ability to create. Psalms 8:5 says that God has crowned man with glory and honor.
When we worship God we are giving Him glory which means we recognize Him and His worth in our lives and when we give Him glory it activates the glory that is our crown and creativity flows through us. When your entire being is filled with presence of God it activates the creativity in you.
Worship is giving our total being (spirit, soul and body) to God as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) The gift of ourselves to Him our Creator causes wisdom in us to flow with creative ideas and strategies. The seeds that will create the harvest of our creativity is brought forth in our minds so that we can plant them in the earth. As a worshipper of God we live fully and freely and from that place we are creators. Revelation flows through us as we gain vision for how we will fill the earth with the fruit of our creativity.
We worship Him in the beauty of holiness. Beauty is the expression of creativity. We agree with God and behold His qualities of goodness and love. We see Him as the One who opens the gifts in us and create the opportunities for us. We see Him as Sovereign God who is Kind and just. He is the Creator and He has given us Himself when He created us in His image. And we are changed by the revelation that He pours in us.
Our creativity is the expression of His beauty of holiness. He has set us apart to create the fullness of what He has created us to be and do.
Are you a worshipper and do you see the connection between your worship and creativity? I would love to hear your response to this article. Shalom.
