After college she wrote her first novel, got her first agent and believed the day would come when she would become a New York Times bestselling author. Her husband is concerned about the lost of income they may face if her publishing house doesn’t create the same level of income that they now had, along with supporting two children in college.
None of friends and even her pastor thinks that she’s being careless. .
With all the resistance that JoAnn is facing she doesn’t give up. She is determined to continue to write great books and to publish authors. Even though no one encourages her she encourages herself. She will not give up.
One day JoAnn reads her Bible she come to this verse in the Book of Job. “The righteous also shall hold his way, and he that has cleans hands shall be stronger and stronger.”
JoAnn understands that she had to hold her way and not give up her dreams. It may look foolish to others but in her heart she knows that she was doing the right thing and if she moves forward, even though the resistance hurts it has a purpose of making her stronger.
That’s what persistence is, it’s an attitude that says no matter how much resistance you face you’re going forward and the resistance is actually making you stronger. Being persistence is SUCCESS. Keep going forward and SUCCEED!
