Tuesday of last week I attended the funeral of two girls, sisters ages 10 and 4 who died in a fire in their home. When I read about their deaths in the paper I heard Holy Spirit say that I needed to be at that funeral. And so I canceled our sessions at church and went to the services.
It was heartbreaking seeing the two caskets that contained the human remains of these children. To know that they died before they reach the fullness of age was disconcerting. It caused me to pause and reflect on the enemy called death. The thief who comes to steal potential and promise. Death, the unwanted enemy who found his way into the human experience through the door of Adam’s sin. Death had entered our community and brought us tragedy.
I sat in the company of pastors and ministers from the community and I asked God why? God never answered me. But as I listened to Makayla’s principal talk about Makayla and shared with us her dream of attending Harvard to study dentistry. And later Makayla’s pastor, Reverend Jonathan King shared her creative gifts for writing short stories, I heard the Lord say, “I WILL REDEEM MAKAYLA’S DREAM.” The word of the Lord in my spirit activated my faith and hope that even though these babies had died to soon the Lord declared to me that her dream will not die but it will live and manifest.
As I have pondered this word the Lord guided me to Genesis 4. In this chapter Abel died prematurely by the hand of his brother. And the Lord showed me that even though Abel died his dream was redeemed in the birth of his brother Seth.
Abel’s Hebrew name is hebel. The first letter in his name is hey.Hey means the one who sees revelation and the one who breathes. Breath is the function of Holy Spirit. Abel was a worshipper because he walked in revelation and Holy Spirit breathed on him.
Abel revelation didn’t die with him but it was redeemed in his brother Seth. Seth was the son born to agree with the dreams and destiny of his brother Abel and to bring forth his brother’s dream. Seth was a sign to his parents and they prophesied that the Lord appointed to them another seed.
So the Lord revealed to me at the funeral of two little girls that when a person dies prematurely He can still bring forth their dream in another life.
From the line of Seth came a line of men who called on the Lord. Maybe that was the revelation that Abel walked with in the earth. Maybe that was Abel’s dream.
I prophesy that every child that has died prematurely their dreams will be redeemed and the fruit of their dreams realized in another will be accounted to their eternal account. In Yeshua name I decree and declare this word of the Lord. Amen.
